Andrés leads multidisciplinary research teams that build and study technologies designed to help people connect and collaborate in new ways. He is the director of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at Princeton and serves on the board of Crisis Text Line.

Emelia is a seasoned staff software engineer with over a decade of experience building software products and platforms. She is an active contributor to Mastodon and Pixelfed, focusing extensively on trust and safety initiatives within the Fediverse since 2018.

Erin is a writer, researcher, and network tinkerer with longstanding ties to UX and design. Working on governance, risk, and social patterns across federated & decentralized systems. Previously: COVID Tracking Project + Knight Mozilla OpenNews.

Grace is a dynamic media professional with over a decade of editorial experience in both print and digital media.

Jon’s work focuses on justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and intersectionality. Jon runs the Nexus of Privacy newsletter, and is also a member of Disinfo Defense League.

Robin is an open source strategist, community organizer, and nonprofit leader. Robin recently took on the role of Managing Director at the Matrix Foundation.

Open source developer & community leader, Shauna works with progressive and/or non-profit organizations to help develop software and community.

A community-focused product leader and technical generalist. Ted has built journalism and civic projects which help journalists and the public understand the world around them.

Theo brings more than 15 years experience in information technology, including extensive experience in analytics, user interface design, mobile application development, database and web development.

Tim has been at the forefront of pioneering strategies that leverage technology to promote social good and a healthier social web.

Havona is an advisor to the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, a member of the Flight Management Team for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Chair of the Friends of St. Mary’s Park and an advocate for the International School of Brooklyn.  She loves to travel and meet new people; all her interests follow a theme ‘be well by doing good’.

Damien serves as Board Treasurer and has a long history in nonprofit finance and compliance. Damien is CFO at Cancer Research and Biostatistics, a nonprofit working to help conquer cancer and other diseases .

Michael is a fiction writer, tech journalist, and news editor. His most recent book “The Silk Factory: Finding Threads of My Family’s True Holocaust Story” was awarded the 2023 International Impact Book Awards for Memoirs.
